Eric Castro

Eric Castro is a co-founder of BHG Financial. 

A central figure within BHG, he has taken on various organizational roles throughout his tenure, including senior credit officer and chief operating officer, adjusting to fulfill any position in the company's best interest. 

During BHG's record growth, he refocused his attention on fortifying the company internally as it continued evolving and scaling.

Drawing from his experience in the U.S. Marine Corps, his insight and execution strategy on leadership and culture have been essential to developing an ecosystem that has defined and reinforced the company from the ground up. It has led to repeated national recognition, including being honored by Great Place to Work in various categories for multiple years.

Mr. Castro has been instrumental in launching BHG LEAD, a program designed to develop level four leaders and give them the foundation, skills, and ability to be more effective. 

He was accepted into the Forbes Business Council in 2020 and has received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneurs of the Year Award for financial services.

Tyler Crawford
President and Board Advisor

Tyler Crawford is the President of BHG Financial. He is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience in financial services, business building, product strategy, and business development.

Beyond guiding BHG's vision and mission, Mr. Crawford oversees all lending functions under a single organization while still maintaining the role of Chief Operating Officer. Those responsibilities include leadership of loan sales and services, loan administration, credit and fraud operations, product & technology and enabling and corporate functions.

Since joining BHG in 2012, Mr. Crawford has held numerous executive roles across the organization, launching BHG's New York City office and leading initiatives focused on enhancing customer value, expanding market reach, and optimizing business efficiencies. 

His deep-rooted understanding of the lending industry has enabled BHG to set records in origination, revenue, and income, forging multiple new product and business development initiatives. These include BHG's credit card program and consumer lending, which have collectively served over 100,000 customers and generated over $1 billion in revenue.

Mr. Crawford participates in the company's strategic partnerships and investments as a board member at ApplePie Capital and Apiture. He also is a contributing member of the Forbes Council. He received his bachelor's degree from Gettysburg College.

Dan McSherry
Chief Financial Officer and Board Advisor

Dan McSherry is the Chief Financial Officer for BHG Financial, overseeing the firm’s accounting and finance functions, capital markets activities, and growth and investments strategy.

Joining the company in 2013, he has served in management roles for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence before transitioning to CFO.

Mr. McSherry has been instrumental in BHG’s recent funding success, having closed eight asset-backed securitization transactions over the last three years.

Prior to BHG, he spent four years at Lockheed Martin Corporation and has significant experience in the financial services industry, having spent time with CIBC World Markets Inc., UBS Financial, and Charles Schwab & Co.

Mr. McSherry earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics and his MBA from Syracuse University.

Misha Polovneff
VP, Corporate Development

Misha Polovneff is a Vice President at BHG Financial and presides over corporate development activities. 

In this role, he is responsible for the organization’s venture capital and control equity investment strategies, overseeing the portfolio of direct and fund investments, and helping guide the relationships of promising companies to BHG Financial. He is also an acting board representative for several of BHG’s portfolio companies and supports corporate strategy initiatives. 

Before joining BHG, Mr. Polovneff held roles at various private equity and investment banking firms. He additionally participates in several industry and stage-specific investment funds and holds one fund advisor delegation. 

Mr. Polovneff earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA. 

Paul Carlisle
President, Advisory Services RMSG

Paul Carlisle is the President of Advisory Services for Risk Management Solutions Group (RMSG).  

Mr. Carlisle establishes client relationships through various business development initiatives. He oversees engagement execution for banks and fintechs of all sizes, providing them with regulatory and risk management guidance and support–keeping them current in the ever-changing financial environment.  

In addition to his position at RMSG, he also heads up BHG Financial’s Sales Quality Assurance, guiding the team that monitors all sales calls and documentation to ensure BHG Financial consistently complies with Federal regulations. Mr. Carlisle is also the Chief Regulatory Relations Officer for Fund-Ex Solutions Group, directly liaising between the company and federal regulators. 

Before BHG, Mr. Carlisle held various high-level roles, serving as a CFPB compliance examiner, FDIC safety and soundness examiner, compliance officer with USAA, and a consultant with Grant Thornton and Promontory Financial Group.

Andrew Stone
SVP, Fraud Management

Andrew Stone is the Senior Vice President of Fraud Management at BHG Financial.  

Mr. Stone leads a team of over 30 fraud professionals responsible for developing and implementing enterprise fraud policies and procedures, managing fraud risk segmentation and mitigation, overseeing fraud operations, technology infrastructure, AML/BSA compliance, and executing global fraud strategies across several unique product lines.  
 
Additionally, Mr. Stone oversees the exploration of new technologies and solutions that can help combat fraud and financial crimes in the complex and dynamic economic landscape.  

Prior to BHG, Mr. Stone served as a senior risk management leader at Amazon and the director of fraud management for OnDeck Capital 

Mr. Stone is a board observer and industry subject matter expert for Vouched, a leading identity, KYC, and biometrics solution. He also serves as an advisory resource to other start-ups or emerging companies, looking to disrupt the current fraud/risk technology ecosystem. 

John Antonczak
EVP, Strategic Advisory & Corporate Finance

John Antonczak is an Executive Vice President at BHG Financial and an advisory member of the BHG Board of Directors. 

Mr. Antonczak oversees various financial and strategic initiatives throughout the organization. He joined BHG Financial in 2019 with extensive experience in finance, capital markets, and corporate strategy. His background includes asset securitization, leveraged lending, and corporate banking, and he has closed over $5 billion in commercial financings over his career.

He has held various senior leadership roles at large regional banks, including Flagstar Bank and Fifth Third Bank after having spent time with Royal Bank of Canada and Comerica Bank.

He received his MBA from the University of Michigan and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
